Proud of my man

We returned home last night from a week-long visit to my parents in Georgia to a giant stack of mail and packages. Among the treasures were shiny new schoolbooks for Liam and Quinn Wallace, the daughter of a friend who will be co-teaching the two of them along with me in the fall; cool new software that I'll need for some upcoming e-books in the works; but best of all, Loys' grades from the church history class he took at Gordon Conwell last semester. He got As in every area: readings, paper, midterm, and final. He hasn't yet received his grade from the other class he took but he's guessing that he'll have at least a cumulative 3.67 GPA since he started in the fall.

I'm extremely proud of how well he's done considering the fact that he's also holding down a full-time job and continuing to support me and the boys in all sorts of ways while he's home: buying most of our groceries and running errands during his lunch hour, playing XBox 360 with the boys after supper, and somehow managing to stay on top of what's going on in the world related to global Anglicanism, just to name a few.

I have no idea where we will end up when he completes the M. Div. program but I have no doubts whatsoever that God has ordained him for kingdom work. I'm lucky to call him my husband and friend and I can't wait to see what God has in store for all of us.

He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. Titus 1:9
